My Goals:
To be fit, and healthy. To enjoy shopping again. To have the energy necessary to chase a 2 year old around. To feel good in my own skin.

My Program:
Modifying my diet and cutting out pop, or at least cutting down. :) Walking, and joining a gym.

26, single mom, student, recently divorced from my high school BF of 11 years, basically I'm completely starting over.

Christina, I saw your post on the Singles team (I'm not a member of the team, it was featured in an email today and I went and looked around) and I thought I'd drop you a note on your page.
First off, welcome to Sparkpeople. I have found that when my motivation runs low I can go to the pages of my spark friends and see how they're doing. Also, having a good group of friends here really helps. When you have success here, your friends come to pat you on the back, and that makes you want to succeed more. Conversely, when you have failed, those same friends will come to console you and help you pick your chin back up.
For me, I feel a great amount of pride when my friends tell me that I have encouraged or motivated them. And I always try to let them know that I appreciate their motivation and encouragement also.
Track that food intake, it helps to keep you honest about your food. It's easy to cheat when you don't have to look at that treat staring back at you from the tracker! Remember, it takes approximately 28 days of doing something to make it a habit.
Blogs. Writing about things is very cathartic to some people. Telling your story, letting people know who you are is very empowering. You can let your guard down here, and people accept you for who you are. Writing blogs is a way of letting people into your world. Put your words down and let people read them and decide if they want to have a smart, pretty young woman as a friend.
I am going to add you, a simple extension of my hand in friendship.
