My name is Madeline and I have been a Sparker for a little over a year. Since then I have lost 26lbs and I am living a much healthier life.

I eat lots of fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. and stay away from fast and processed food as much as reasonably possible. The best part--my new favorite drink is water. YES, you read that right!

I still need to conquer my sweet tooth and getty my booty shaking a little more intensely when I exercise (and exercise more than I currently do)--but let's not focus on the negative because overall I am happy with my progress and I know there is a LOT more progress to come!

The key for me is to keep smiling and keep my spirits high because there will be rough patches with weight gains, lazy no-exercise days, sweet binges, etc. I need to ride those with a positive SPARK smile and attitude, because if I do it will be smooth sailing in no time...

My Goals:
My goal is to lose weight the healthy way--by eating nutritious whole foods, lean meats and exercising. I also want to feel great--no aches, pains or stiffness.

My Program:
To meet my goals I am:

1. Cutting out as much packaged food as possible.
2. Cutting out fast food.
3. Eating lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, some meat all flavored with lots of herbs and spices.
4. Exercising daily by walking the dog 60+ minutes most days and zumba.



Personal Information:
I am from NYC originally, Brooklyn to be exact but I live and work in Washington, DC.

Other Information:
I am married and love dogs. I am also a gardener, and like dabbling in arty things.
