Brain Dump

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~Fr. Thanks for stopping by my blog!! I love that Art Tour -- we haven't made it to every place on the tour yet and, I agree, we are lucky to have the opportunity. It amazes me to see how many fantastic artists there are with studios tucked away in the countryside. In some cases, the artists will invite an artist friend or two to also show in their studio.

I have thought about posting a picture of that barn. I will have to see if I can get a photo that does it justice. I wish I could afford the ones where the barns have stone bases but $500 and up is just beyond what I'm willing to spend.

I hope your weather today is as fabulous as ours has been though we really need rain.

Thanks for the goodie and the advice. Today I have work to do here at home but I am also taking some time to have coffee with friends this morning. I need that.

I hope your day is happy and healthy. I assume your weather will be as fabulous as ours so I imagine you'll be out in it. Enjoy!!

Thank you so much for your advice. I always appreciate. I had two wonderful days at home to get things done and I did use my slow cooker on those days. I find it so much easier to do the dinner prep in the morning and then I can just go at the work at home without needing to consider time. I think I will look into the pressure cooker idea. That too would help me save time and still give us nice balanced meals.

We are really struggling right now with a great grandson who is using my folks as his personal billfold and hotel. Sad thing is, he has also stolen from them and they still do all they can for him because they don't want trouble. They may wind up having to leave their home because of him but, then, we can't leave the house empty of he'll rob them blind. What a mess!! I toss and turn at night trying to figure out how this can be solved.

Thanks for your encouragement. The weigh in was great - I lost 4 pounds last week. The okra was AWFUL. 2 bites and in the garbage. Back to brussel sprouts for me!
