I am a single mom who wants to keep up with my own life. I have some health struggles that make that difficult (lupus, celiac, asthma, chronically sprained ankles). BUT, excuses aren't helping, so I need to figure this out one meal at a time!

I love hiking, playing with my tomboy (almost 8!), cooking, quilting and getting outdoors as much as possible.

I have just under 100 lbs to lose. Seems daunting, but I need to do it for myself and for my daughter.

Trying to start realistically!

(Logged on years ago but never tracked anything until April 2014 when I got serious!)

1: TRACK EVERYTHING
2: Get active every day, even if squeezed in here and there with "The single mom who doesn't belong to a gym plan" (walk laps at
daughter's sports practices, walk daughter to school, walk at lunch break)
3: Plan ahead for problems & create solutions ahead of time (aka trying to get some help with my terrible ankles from a sports med doc and get a recumbent bike)
4: Has to be Gluten Free due to celiac

sounds like you have an everyday plan as far as keep moving. you love to cook, just incorporate healthy ways of making some of your recipes, you say you love outdoors. go for it every chance and do things you love to do. you can do this, we all can. just adjust your lives so we are moving more than we are sitting still. good luck. I will be routing for you. emoticon
