Hi, I'm Christy. I'm 27 and live in VA. I've been on Spark since October 2011, but have not been as committed as I'd like to be. I'm working on making healthy eating and exercise into a habit. I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

Right now, I'm starting a 15 minutes of daily exercise streak! My previous 10 minutes of daily exercise streak died after 225 days. I'm hoping to make it until the end of May and then, who knows!


Goals:
**15 minutes a day exercise streak- May (reward- new sports bra!)
**Do 50 consecutive pushups (Reward- use my massage gift certificate)


Previous goals: (It helps to see these and see how far I've come, especially when I need motivation!)
Without stopping...
**Run 1 mile- Accomplished 6.18.12!
**Run 2 miles (Reward- new running shorts): Accomplished 7.3.12!
**Run 3 miles (Reward- new hiking shorts): Accomplished 9.2.12!
**Run 4 miles (Reward- jeans- $3 at the thrift store!): Accomplished 9.8.12!
**Run 5 miles- (Reward- ??)Accomplished 9.30.12!
**Run 6 miles (Reward- Sign up for my 1st 1/2 Marathon- April 14, 2013!)- Accomplished 10.11.12!


Current Status:
CLRWILLIAMS25 Had a great weekend backpacking with DH. Lots of miles, ate pretty healthy (until yesterday...). Will post a blog soon with pics!

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

My mum said exactly the same about my son and his new glasses! He does look very grown-up and very studious emoticon
I think he looks gorgeous, but of course, I am very biased! emoticon

Thank you also about your comment on my food photos. As I am posting a lot of these photos on my Sandra's Holistic Kitchen Facebook page and blog, I am mindful about making the photos as attractive as possible without tempering with the food itself (such as putting oil on it to give it a sheen, etc.) I am adamant that the food I photograph is as I put it on the table, but I do now try to pay attention to presentation and lighting. It's by no mean perfect but I am learning and enjoying the process emoticon

Haha yea exactly. You look at the salad section and they're all smothered with double flash fried pork belly or breaded and fried egg ("cobb") Who would have thought Midwestern cuisine is more unhealthy than the south! (I used to live in NC) I lost 3 lbs this week so hopefully with careful tracking and some serious restaurant avoidance I can fit in my pants in the next month or so.

Looks like you're doing well and staying active, good luck on your 10k training!!
