Hi, I'm Christy. I'm 27 and live in VA. I've been on Spark since October 2011, but have not been as committed as I'd like to be. I'm working on making healthy eating and exercise into a habit. I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

I ran my first half marathon last spring and am looking to find a weekly workout routine where I won't get bored. I am highly motivated by beating my own PRs, so my rewards are all based on fitness accomplishments.

Right now, I'm starting a 15 minutes of daily exercise streak! My previous 10 minutes of daily exercise streak died after 225 days. I'm hoping to make it until the end of May and then, who knows!


Goals:
**15 minutes a day exercise streak- May (reward- new sports bra!)
**Do 50 consecutive pushups (Reward- use my massage gift certificate)


Previous goals: (It helps to see these and see how far I've come, especially when I need motivation!)
Without stopping...
**Run 1 mile- Accomplished 6.18.12!
**Run 2 miles (Reward- new running shorts): Accomplished 7.3.12!
**Run 3 miles (Reward- new hiking shorts): Accomplished 9.2.12!
**Run 4 miles (Reward- jeans- $3 at the thrift store!): Accomplished 9.8.12!
**Run 5 miles- (Reward- ??)Accomplished 9.30.12!
**Run 6 miles (Reward- Sign up for my 1st 1/2 Marathon- April 14, 2013!)- Accomplished 10.11.12!

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!!

Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!

Again, thanks for your support and great advice on my blog! I wasn't able to have a tide-me-over snack, but I did munch on an apple instead of cakes during class, and then came directly home and did both a cardio and strength video. It's actually a nice alternative to watching TV in the evenings!

Thank you so much for your support on here! I felt like I needed to share those photos, because my page really only reflects my past successes, but not where I am right now. I am hopeful that this point system will really help me to keep making some good decisions so I can get my weight back down to a healthy place, and improve my fitness. I also wanted to thank you because a long, long time ago you recommended a website for fitness videos and when sparkpeople wouldn't play any videos for me today, I remembered that suggestion! That kept me on track and I'm so glad. I just wish I could think of a good reward...
