Taking Control..........
Hi: I was just recently diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I also have Hashimoto's Disease and I had my gall bladder removed six years ago, so weight loss is difficult for me. However, I have two beautiful granddaughters that I want to watch grow up, so it's very important to me to take control!

My Goals:
I would like to shed at least 85 pounds and reverse diabetes. I also have high blood pressure which I believe is a result of my weight as well.
My Program:
I am eating a low-fat sugar-free diet with portion control. I am exercising every other day for the first week and then I will up it to every day and slowly increase the time. My fav exercise is walking........
Personal Information:
I was born and raised in the midwest (Indiana). I have lived in FL, CO, TX, NM & NC. I have learned to cook some amazing dishes and no one complains!
Other Information:
I am an avid supporter of Komen Race for the Cure, The Alzheimer's Memory Walk, and ALS. I participate in the walks as often as I am able. I support efforts to stamp out child abuse and Domestic Violence. Looks like now I will be supporting a cure for diabetes as well!
