Moving Every Day

I've already lost around 50 pounds (never weighed myself at my heaviest). Now I have run a 5k fun run, 10k Rhody run and the 10 mile Cape Mountain run. I like to kayak our local lakes and river and walk and run the local trails. I have 3 great kids, the oldest just graduated from college (and working in her field!!) and the other 2 still in college. I'm mostly an empty nester with my son home this summer.

Short term goal: run the Rhody 10K

Long term goal: not follow the path my mother and grandmother took. I want to be healthy!

My Program:
Jogging 5-6 days a week for 3 to 6 miles. Occasional Kayaking, walking and biking.

Personal Information:
Lucky enough to live on the Oregon coast within minutes from beaches and trails.

First year of being an empty nester and going it alone.
