4/2/17's been three years since I've been here. and...nothing's changed! Weight now 185. body fat? the fat counter I used didn't work right, so who knows? I'm just fat. I did recently learn that I ear way more than I thought. I decided to just ear what I normally and count calories afterwards. it really opened my eyes. Until you know what you really eat, you can't begin to fix it!

Still use Richard's dvd's (not Project Hope) and Gilad's Bodies In Motion. Gilad has the old school 80's workouts that are short, but have the floor exercises for hips, thighs, and abs that did so much for keeping my hips and thigh supporting my body. I tired just using Gilad's dvd's but the 7 minute aerobic workout only burned 54 calories. Just learned that info too! So now, I will be mixing Richards and Gilad's dvd's in hopes that I can finally make some progress.

2/22/14--Now I use Alli (OTC pills) for fat loss and Richard Simmons Project HOPE DVD's. No matter how much I have weighed in my older age, my body fat has always be tremendous. 150 pounds...body fat 39.9% 193...Body fat 39.9%. I always knew I was 'fat' and that I would never look good, if I couldn't lose that body fat. Finally, with Alli, for the first time in 10 years, my body fat is coming down. Within 2 weeks of starting Alli, it was down to 37.9%, then 37.4% and yesterday, 37%. I now have hope that I can get this fat off my body. I take one pill with each meal, eat a low fat diet, control my portions and exercise 6 days a week with Richard Simmons DVD's.
I finally feel good about the program that I am following and feel that this time I will lose the fat and weight and look physically in shape.

Once again, I came back here and it's been almost a year. At least this time, I DID NOT gain weight. However, I didn't lose.

Once I got on Strattera for ADHD about 1 1/2 years ago, my weight just flew up. Not for the first 8 months, mind you, but in the last 4 before my renewal, I gained 23 pounds. sometimes 2 or 3 pounds a day.For a while during this gain, I had to buy a new outfit every single time I went to town! The tops that I bought to wear, wouldn't fit the next time I went to the store, the weight came on so fast.
I knew I wasn't eating that many calories but could not stop the weight gain. Now, I am fighting it, and fighting to find a program, any program that will help!

This time, I am setting a reasonable goal and sticking with it. My goal, is 1.5 pounds a week. I AM going to exercise either by walking one hour or doing a Richard Simmons DVD for 1 hour, 5 days a week.

I don't work, haven't for four years now. At first I was great. Walked 10,000 steps a day, splitting it up between 4 or 5 walking sessions at a time. Then, I just quit.

I keep losing the same three pounds over and over. I feel horrible and trip over stuff because I don't see in on the floor and run into the walls and doors all the time because I just keep getting wider and wider.

Now, it's time to get narrower and narrower. =} 4/5/12

My Goals:
To eat healthy, get at least 30 grams of fiber a day and keep my calories down to 1200 to 1300 a day. Exercise at least 5 days a week, with a weight loss goal of 45 pounds. (185 to 140)

My Program:
To use the Sweating To The Oldies Series DVD's 3 4 and the newest number 5, Disco Sweat and Party Down The Pounds, 5 days a week. I LOVE Richard. He is the one person whose aerobics I have been able to stick to when I work out. I've also added Gilad bodies In Motion for the floor exercises that it's not possible to get anymore. Since I own my own business, and spend my days sitting and sewing and knitting, I have lost all my hip strength, causing a ton of lower back pain. BIM lets me work those parts like we did in the 80's and it's helping a lot.
