As far back as I can remember, I've been pudgy. A pudgy kid, pudgy teenager, pudgy young adult... and I blossomed into a downright fat adult. That just means I'll be better prepared in the event of a zombie apocalypse, right? ;-)
I've always hated being overweight and having to look at all that extra weight when I look in the mirror, but I was never really motivated enough to actually do anything about it. I lost about 30 lbs using SP a few years ago, fell off the wagon when I went on vacation and never managed to get back into the swing of working out & eating right on a regular basis. Add a new baby and buying a home into the mix, and the result was me gaining back about 20 pounds. Now, however, I have fresh motivation and am in this for the long haul.
Weight tracking (not from the very beginning):
5/21/11 - 191.10 lbs
5/28/11 - 185.3 lbs (had a stomach virus)
6/4/11 - 182.6 lbs (thanks, C25K!)
6/11/11 - 182.6 lbs (darn sleep deprivation!!)
7/5/11 - 186.4 lbs (ugh)
8/1/11 - 188.2 (gotta get off my butt!)
9/19/11 - 191.6 lbs (thanks, broken toe & exhaustion!)
9/26/11 - 190.8 lbs
10/3/11 - 189.6 lbs
10/10/11 - 190.8 lbs (ate lots of carbs before starting South Beach ;)
6/12/12 - 168.4 lbs (gotta love South Beach!)
1/15/14 - 180.8 lbs (starting fresh!)
Boticelli was a great artist. Doesn't mean I want to look like one of the women from his paintings. So my goal is to no longer look like a Boticelli.
FINALLY complete the C25K program by 4/1/14.
Lose 4 lbs (down to 176) by 1/31/14.
Long-term goal: Get down to 135 lbs (45 lbs) by 12/1/14 and work on toning to be ready for VIF in February 2015.
Mini goal: Lose 7 lbs before KC vacation in early August
Mini goal: Successfully complete Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet
Mini goal: Lose 10 lbs (get down to 176.4) by 8/17/11, in time for our vacation to KC.
**8/3/11: Yeah, this isn't gonna happen. That's what I get for slacking off for too long. :(
Mini goal: Lose 8 lbs (down to 183 lbs) by opening night of the show I'm currently in (opens June 16).
GOAL MET 6/6/11 - 182.6 LBS
Mini goal: Sign up for and complete at lea
Portion control, calorie reduction, cutting/greatly reducing refined carbs, focusing on "clean eating", and incorporating more fruits & veggies.
Cardio 4 - 5 times per week (C25K program 3 days/week & other cardio 1-2 days/week)
Strength Training 2 days a week plus extra core work 1 - 2 days/week

I'm right there with you - I've been prepared for famine from childhood! And I don't want to look like a Boticelli, either!!! My very thin mother used to use that reference as a way to make me feel better about myself! Can you imagine?!
