Starting Over

My name is Lacey! I have been a member of sparkpeople for over 4 years. I had great success with Sparkpeople in the past, and lost about 25lbs. Unfortunately, I gained it back during pregnancy. My son is now two years old and I have not yet lost the weight. I would like to lose about 40 lbs.!

I'm more or less still active... kinda off and on, but I am still trying to eat better and exercise. Some days I do better than others... thanks for checking up on me!

Lacey ~

I am not a nurse, but I came across your team through someone else who is on the Cooking for Plenty team and I had to come seek you out. I had a daughter born at 23.5 weeks and she is an amazing miracle. She will be 10 this July and I marvel at her every day. She is in 4th grade, a fairly good student (mostly B's!) and she has some comprehension issues but doing great. She was just weaned off all the asthma meds! Woot, woot! She is in Speech for her stuttering and of course, extremely tiny yet...she is just finally growing out of her 6x's! But I mostly wanted to just come and thank you from so many mothers around the world that could not get through what we go through without loving nurses who care for our babies. It was the toughest thing I have ever been through and would not ever want to experience it again! My hat goes off to you and I pray the Lord blesses you over and over again for your ministering hands to those babies. My heart is with so many new moms in those shoes. So THANK YOU for the job you do and remember we don't ever forget any nurse who touches our babies lives.....though sometimes you may wonder......

In Him,
Lo

Lacy,I too am a nursing student in my sophomore year. I was already overweight, but ever since I started school my weight has exploded, I hope to gather the will power such as yourself and beat the addiction. Best of luck in all your endeavors

Lacey -- Good Morning and Greetings from central Indiana!!! Greg here, and just stopping by to say HELLO. One of my short term goals is to visit as many of the SparkPages of members of the different teams that I am on. I try to visit one page per team per day (and, yes, I'm keeping track of the pages I visit; 90+ pages in the first month). You are my "Backpackers" visit for today (& first of this week).

Nice job on your SparkPage. I really like the SparkPages, and think setting one up is an important step; you have to think about what you want to present, and be willing to put it out there for the world to see/read.

CONGRADS on your weight loss, and keep it up. Best of luck on your weight loss journey, and may God bless you and your family. -- Greg

PS: I grew up in Nashville (Madison & Goodlettsville area) and still have family in the Springfield & Greenbrier areas. Move to Indiana after living in Knoxville for 3 years; love the Smokies !!!
