I believe a person's overall physical well-being is intricately tied to their overall emotional, spiritual, social and financial well-being, just as the heart and brain are interdependent.

I have chronic health issues that affect my energy, endurance, ability to sleep, comfort (pain) and strength. This affects my emotional and spiritual life. It also affects my ability to earn an income and my relationships.

My current health issues make it difficult to exercise, making it difficult to lose weight. My health makes it difficult to work full-time, adding financial stress, leading to emotional stress, leading to physical stress and even spiritual stress, all which stress my relationships.

While I am not able to eliminate my chronic health issues, I am working on improving all areas, physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial, which will also lead to improved relationship health.

Fitness Minutes: 15,620

My Goals:
Weigh 164 pounds.
Lose 34 pounds (2/wk) through September 2016.
Have a 36" waist size.
Lose 1/2 inch off my waist each month through November.
7 - 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Proper cholesterol levels.
Balanced diet.
Walk at least 1 mile per day, 3 miles per hour every day, or 20 minutes on the elliptical..

My Program:
I am tracking my calories, carbohydrate/protein/fat ratio, fiber, vitamins, minerals, my exercise, water intake and sleep.

I am walking 1 - 2 miles a day when my back, knees and feet will allow, seeking to keep my calories below 1750 per day, my fat calories at or below 25% and my protein calories at or above 20%.

I am trying to keep my fiber at 25 grams or higher and get at least 100% US RDA of all my vitamins and minerals.

I am actively participating in the Summer 2016 5% Challenge.

I am seeking to have a regular bedtime and avoid exercise, eating and fluid intake 3 hours prior to bedtime. I am seeking to make the room quiet, dark and comfortable, regarding temperature.

I am seeking to improve my memory, read inspiring material and talk to positive people. I have completely stopped watching TV and have limited myself as to how much news and Internet surfing I do.

I am seeking to succeed financially by practicing proper budgeting, savings and protection.

    Hello Clay,

    I agree with the cortisol levels. I further believe most of us are controlled by our genetic material, including hormones, who rule almost every function in our bodies emoticon Being aware sometimes doesn't help but at least you know why and what is happening. Wish this were an easier journey though.
