MY Life...MY Running.

Well first off, I have a passion for running, have been running for several years now.
I think its the best physical form of activity that I could have ever picked up!
I love being in control of my body, the more my body gets tired the more I push for the next mile.. running has showed me a side that I never thought I had. Mentally and physically it has made me strong, it opened the door to the world of being fit -and healthy.. Now I wont go back to the bad old ways.

The benefits of being fit and healthy are endless and the results I see are priceless.
Why would I ever give that up?


- It's no longer sport, No longer just a game.
It has become a way of life.
Every breath is a stride, Every heartbeat a string of silence.
It is a compulsion from deep within. It is a passion for glory.
To go through the torment. To last through the waiting.
To gain that one moment, Alone with myself.
And only the few, Who chance to strive, Can know the experience.
To hear nothing but breath. To feel nothing but heartbeat.
To feel so much like hell, Running so close to heaven.
This is the Runners' High. This is the feeling I live for.
This is the goal I strive toward.

If my chance disappears, Part of my life would end.-

I am currently using the FIRST program

Monday- Complete day off. Just pilates
Tuesday -cross train
Wednesday- Key Run #1. Strength Training
Thursday- Cross Training
Friday-Key Run #2 Strength training.
Saturday- day off from run, pilates and cross training
Sunday- Key Run #3- long run day

I see that you are still running. I am just getting back into it in the last couple of months. I finished my college degree and now I'm working on the house and getting a consistent program of running and working out. I have not been on SparkPeople for about 2 years, but hope to get more involved in it.
I'm just reaching out to see if we could motivate each other or you motivate me; since it looks like you have had a consistent program. Hope to hear from you, and your kids look healthy and happy from the photograph. Keep running. Jessie

I found ya! :) According to this site my goal weight is 179 - but I think I could go a little under that too! - We'll see how running will shape me up!

Hey Claudia, how's it going? Are you still maintaining the running and getting your miles in? Have you been able to run a 50k, yet?
I just finished a month of heavy racing, where I set new personal best times in the marathon, half-marathon, and 10k. Things are really going well and it's looking very good for a Boston Qualifier soon.
