My Road to Success

I am someone who has struggled with weight and esteem issues her entire life. I am emotional eater which doesn't help matters at all. My husband is a weightlifting junkie and my daughter is an athlete. I am neither of those things, but I would like to be!

I love to read, travel, camp, and fish!

Holidays are coming! Here are some tips to help you “maintain” when temptation strikes:
1. Eat something small and healthy before the “big meal”.
2. Exercise every day – even the holiday. Take the family with you.
3. It’s ok to have dessert, but only a SMALL one.
4. Track what you eat. If you have to put it in writing and be accountable, you’ll be less tempted to overeat.
5. Downsize your portions – especially of the high-calorie dishes.
6. Save calories for food you love and don’t eat the things you don’t “LOVE” just because they’re there or because it’s tradition.
7. Spend more time talking with your loved ones and friends instead of eating.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Don't Give Up!

Follow Your Dream
by: Amanda Bradley
Follow your dream.
Take one step at a time and don't settle for less,
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream.
If you stumble, don't stop and lose sight of your goal
Press to the top.
For only on top can we see the whole view,
Can we see what we've done and what we can do;
Can we then have the vision to seek something new,
Press on.
Follow your dream.
