Time to Change My Priorities...

7/19/2010 - The Beginning
Wow, I've always been about 30 lbs more than a healthy weight since high school. Then once I took a job sitting instead of moving, another 20 lbs gained. Then a baby, another 20 lbs, then another baby and another 20 lbs. I might lose 20 or 30 lbs, but I end up getting busy, discarding my good habits and gaining the weight back. 7/19/2010 - The Beginning

4/1/2012 - Beginning Again
Well, I wrote that once before and it's still true. My last physical was pretty telling - hypertension and officially prediabetic. This time, it's for real.

My Goals:
Get down to a healthy weight. To consistently live a healthy lifestyle, lose weight and become more active. To exercise regularly and complete a 5K, then work my way up to a 10K... we'll see on that.

My Program:
Lean meats and a lot more fruits and veggies. Better meal planning and no more fast food. Walking every day, plus starting a C25K program and strength training. And family bike rides!!

Personal Information:
I live in Northern California. I have an awesome spouse and two beautiful children, a wonderful home and a job that keeps me busy. I want to embrace a healthly lifestyle, have more energy and get my BP down.

Other Information:
Love to cook and bake! And that certainly didn't help me keep my weight down over the years. Enjoy traveling and hanging out with my family. I travel a lot for work so I miss out on a lot too!
