No, that's not me in the pic with the dumbells, but I aspire to be able to do that just in case you were wondering. :) I'm 45, married to a wonderful guy for 20 years now. I have 2 daughters- one 18, on 16. I'm ashamed that I've spent so much of my life concerned about food and my weight. To think of the things I could have accomplished with all that focus... No good dwelling on that though- just more wasted energy. My husband and I will be empty nesters soon and I'm excited about what's ...

haha! Hopefully, now I won't end up on "what not to wear" ! I'm drawing the line however at throwing away my baggy pajamas!

Hope you had a great vacation, and good for you making those smart food choices. It's not easy on vacation.

Thank you so very much for reading and commenting on my blog, Loving Yourself: My Body Pledge of Allegiance, and for signing on by leaving a comment, and taking the pledge to be your own champion!

I feel more strongly than ever that this is indeed the first hurdle we must conquer. Because of all the positive feedback I have received during this series from those who have been reading and following, I am going to continue with helping not only myself, but those who have committed via this pledge made to themselves to do that with more blogs on this topic. I am confident that we can move forward from here. This was the first step off the starting line. Let's move forward together!

Many fellow Spark Friends have already committed to and taken the Body Pledge of Allegiance, and more are joining each day. These small actions can make a big difference. It is about coming together and offering our strength to one another. Together we are uniting our conviction, and echoing the voices of ourselves, and for women and girls everywhere to love ourselves as we are, no matter where we are. It is the energy of the this conviction and the movement that will propel us all forward into becoming who we wish to truly be, and ultimately, to achieving all that we are striving to achieve, not only here, but in our lives.

So very glad that you have also arrived at this conclusion. It is so easily overlooked. I do hope that you will stop by to read and comment on the Loving Yourself blogs as the series continues. I'm sure that you have, and will discover that you have things to share with the rest of us as you move forward, too. It's so amazing how we are able to help one another in the smallest ways.

Let's “Spark a mini revolution of loving ourselves”! Together we can do it!

Thank you for the article! I did read that some time ago, but it was a great refresher. I like to tell myself now that I could be happy at 140. But I really know that would be my way of letting me have my cake and eating it too. I know I need to get a handle on self discipline, and really try to eat as healthy as possible. I had my appt. yesterday with the "fat loss" coach. He told me I had too much body fat. 41.0%, and that my diet was way too high in protein and fat, although it included healthy fats. So now, I guess this is where I buckle down and follow his plan, stop going out on the weekend (yea!) and eating junk. My next weigh in is April 17th. Since his office is in the gym that I go to, it will really be impossible to avoid him. Talk about accountability! Thank you for looking out for me. I appreciate you !

Awwww, thank you for listening too. My husband wants me to find the "unleash your quite" program! So glad we can support one another!
