My Goals:
1) To be at 145lbs. before my India trip in March of 2013. 2) To not allow the weekends to undo all the good I've done during the week. 3) To run a 5k 4) To climb Mt. Kilimanjaro 5) Cardio 7 days a week, weights 3 days a week. 6) To see myself as a valuable person - even without losing the weight. 7) To stop the stress-eating / boredom eating circle. My Program:
My philosophy is that I'm not going to do anything today that I am not going to do for the rest of my life. This leaves out all fad "diets" of course. My goal is to eat veggies, lean protein and healthy carbs while limiting starchy carbs, sodium and saturated fat. I'm keeping calories between 1,100 and 1,500/day, saturated fat below 10% and sodium below 1,500mg.
Personal Information:
I was fat as a child - very fat - and, as a result, became isolated and shy. I was in Weight Watchers and TOPS by the 2nd or 3rd grade. I was on low calorie doctor's diets and tried every single diet invented prior to turning 18! Long story short - I ended up close to 400 pounds before I turned 30. In the last 10 years, I've made some progress, but I slacked off thanks to a horrible job and gained some back. But I'm back in the battle now and I will be victorious this time as I am unable to ignore the consequences of my weight any longer. Hobbies: travel, photography, reading, writing (a novel some day I hope!), camping, swimming, snorkeling, etc.
