Yoga now, Running Again ASAP!

Hi, SparkFriends! I was born lucky with good genes that kept me very thin through to my twenties. Then working in an office happened, along with stress eating (wish I smoke or drank, that would have helped ... kidding!), and no exercise plan=big weight gain. Diet and exercise over two years got me into shape and I started running in my early 30s which I LOVED. Then I let grad school, intense work and stress and even a happy new marriage help me gain again. I go on tv and get vicious hate ...

Then I let grad school, intense work and stress and even a happy new marriage help me gain again. I go on tv and get vicious hate mail with language I haven't heard in years about being fat. I stopped reading it. Been eating well and exercising again and feeling great, getting back into shape. Have a phenomenally supportive husband, I am v lucky.

My Goals:
Ultimately, I want to run again. I was never fast and it wasn't pretty but it got the job done emotionally and physically.

Control emotional eating.


Lose weight and get healthy cooking and eating my own whole foods and cut way back on processed foods, bread, pasta (my kryptonite!).

My Program:
At the very beginning of the process. I go to the local community center intermittently where I ride the bike or use the elliptical for no more than thirty minutes.

Saturdays I volunteer at a horseback riding program for children with emotional and physical challenges and I walk in dirt or on hills for at least two hours.

By the end of this month, I want to have a program and be sticking with it.

Personal Information:
I live in Virginia, near DC, with my wonderful, supportive and extraordinarily handy husband. And our cat who hates him. Poor hubby.

Just popped on to log stuff and saw your post. Working so many hours in a day can really put anyone off their game, but a 1/4 lb loss adds up to another 12 pounds in a year! it may sound so small, but that's another clothing size, right! Have you ever checked out the "chair/office" workouts on Spark and youtube? 10 min a few times a day can help, right??? Off to take my own advice! Have a great day--- emoticon
