Fall, 2014 - Welcome to my SparkPage! I have now been a "sparker" for over 7 years!

Fall, 2014 - Welcome to my SparkPage! I have now been a "sparker" for over 7 years!

After struggling with my up and down weight for 6 of those years, I am now at a healthy maintenance weight. I joined Overeaters Anonymous 15 months ago and discovered that I am a compulsive overeater. I am powerless over food, and need God's help to stay away from binging and compulsively eating.

I am now working the 12 Steps with the help of God, my sponsor, and my regular meeting group. I have learnt so much about myself and God this past year! And I am on my way to changing, not just my shape and my size, but also my whole life.

One Day at a Time.

Well, it looks like I am getting better, however, still have to take it easy for awhile. All this is teaching me something, easy does it. Just moving and doing something each day will lead to a giant step forward. It took me a long time to get this fat. I won't get thinner in a few days. Yet, I will if I just keep at it, little by little.

No, I may not be able to do six hours of heavy cleaning, but I can do a 15 min. clean-up, a 27 Fling Boggie, get 2-3 loads of laundry done and do my chair exercises, and feel like a million. Now that's awesome when I think about it.

So you may not feel like doing much today, but you can do something and that something just might be awesome too. Today is amazing Monday--No Excuses Allowed. Today is a Perfect Day to Just Do What You Can and Feel Good.

Thanks for the comment on my page. It feels GREAT to be back on track. The FitBit in conjunction with SparkPeople is making me AWARE of how much I am eating, drinking water, and moving. It's easy to be in DENIAL and not be making the best CHOICES for HEALTH. I was glad to see you are still here when I returned. emoticon

Hi CJ: Well I finally reached that point where I am sick and tired about looking I do and feeling like I do. This gave me the kick in the pants to start my 100 day get healthy project. Today I am on day 4!! My first two day I over did exercising and paid a price called pain. Today, I did much better and I watching my portion size, plus eating three meals daily, NOT drinking soda, also walking and dancing for exercise. It's only day four, but I can feel my stomach has gone down emoticon emoticon
