New Year! New Goals! New Attitude!

I started this journey in April 2007 at 220 lbs. and got down to 174 lbs. in June. 2008. I lost my drive for a long time. I am trying to get it back. It comes and it goes. I get really discouraged when I don't see results. I really need to stay focused and remember that it took me years to get this way, it will take years to get back. In the words of my late mother "Patience is a virtue, Christina."

So here I am today, having run my first 5K marathon in June 2014 and my first Half-Marathon in June 2015. I am still 200 lbs and need to step up my fitness to get to a point where I feel good about myself. I realize that it can't be about the scale, it has to be about how I feel!
I am using sparkpeople and mapmyfitness to reach my goal.

My Goals:
I would really like to be healthier. I don't want to be ashamed to be naked in front of my husband!

My Program:
I have found that if I fill out the food tracker in the morning with what my brain says I should eat that day, I keep right on track!
I have also got a 20 oz. water bottle and I just refill it. It counts as 2.5 cups so it's easy to keep track.

Personal Information:
I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children.
I love to cook. We enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, dirtbike riding, and anything that brings the family together.

Other Information:
My favorite tunes come from Metallica! I work out to St. Anger.
I can't bring myself to read anything except Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series (over and over again).
I am a recovering pessimist and a born again Wiccan.

Good luck on the half marathon! My husband is a runner and ran his first one last year. He's signed up for 2 this year!
