Health and happiness
As a former college athlete, making the transition to the "real world" was difficult. Working out and running became difficult and I was unmotivated to do so after years of being forced to exercise/run/etc. My appetite did not decrease however. I was used to burning countless calories per day and didn't have to monitor my nutrition that closely. Working out and running became difficult and I was unmotivated to do so after years of being forced to exercise/run/etc. My appetite did not decrease however. I was used to burning countless calories per day and didn't have to monitor my nutrition that closely. Combined with the stress of work, moving, grad school, and being surrounded by poor food choices, the weight quickly piled on. That all changes here. I don't want to get back to my former glory; just want to be healthy and make good choices for myself. Health and happiness!

My Goals:
1. Healthy BMI (23.5 is the goal - 140 lbs) 2. Make good nutrition choices and learn more about what I put in my body. Buy local, cook from scratch. 3. Run a sub 30 minute 5K by May. - COMPLETED 3/19/12! 4. Run an 8:30 pace for a 5K 5. Run a half marathon.
My Program:
20 week half marathon training program - 4/5 days of running/week Keep nutrition within ranges on SparkPeople. Take time to cook food that actually nourishes my body.

Looking for new ways to challenge myself.
