Making the Journey One Step at a Time

In the Winter of 2011/2012, I made some pretty big life changes. One of them was quit teaching which made me miserable. Another was to start running. Now, I exercise regularly and I watch my diet.

I currently teach part time at a learning center, and looking forward to the new career chapter of my life.

My Goals:
- To exercise 5x per week
- To develop girly muscles
- To discover (and eat) delicious, nutritious foods
- To avoid over-working myself

Why?
- To feel good about my body
- To feel strong
- To have confidence
- To be proud of who I am and how I live
- To accomplish feats of strength and endurance I never thought I could
- To have less stress

My Program:
I will exercise five days a week, and will run when I feel like it. I will try new things for cardio cross training when I can, and I will do ST at least twice a week (Body Pump, if possible!).

I plan to have three training sessions with a trainer to develop a free-weights training program for days when I can't take an ST class.

I will track all my foods with SP.

I am currently a member of the BL team Sapphire Beauties. I am also eager to join a 5% challenge team. Motivating others helps to motivate myself, and I need some help for these last ten pesky pounds!

Personal Information:
I am a FT Personal Assistant/Nanny for a wonderful family of six. I work PT at a tutoring center.

I love to swing dance, and plan to dance for the rest of my life.

Before Invisalign I flossed at least once a day but on most days twice - in the morning and at bedtime when I brushed. Now I end up brushing like four times a day and flossing 2-3 times. But I can't just finish my plate and run and wash away all the goodness right away. But I think I am going to have to limit myself 10 minutes to bask in the glory of my meal and then start brushing. Any more than that and I am a wierdo and any less than that and I will be peed off!
