A Work in Progress

Hi. I began this journey in December 2010, with the intent to lose 77 lbs. This time...I am serious...I will stick to the program...I will exercise...I will believe I can do this...I will succeed!

Update: May 29th: Enough is enough! I am taking back June! Running 2x's a week (2 mi/ 3mi), Zumba on Wednesday night and Insanity workout with the hubby 3-4x's a week. Need to really work on my food choices, though! Mini Goal: 185 by June 28th.

May 8th- Same story, different day. Just haven't been able to continue the momentum of staying on track. I know what I need to do. Just not doing it. Still doing Zumba on Wednesday night and Friday morning Run/ST workouts. Need to find another two days during the week and MAKE IT WORK. Started the DIY challenge- aptly named Do You Want This Or Not? The answer is yes! New tactic until the momentum is built again- each day I judge myself. On a week-long basis I tend to say "I'll make it up later". The longer goals are even worse. On a day-to-day basis I will continue to momentum longer- until it becomes habit. That's the theory anyway. New goal: 175lbs by July 22nd. Mini goal of 185 by May 31st.

Update: March 1st- False praise central. Just maintained. No excuses. Just lazy. Started Zumba at the end of February. Will continue with that and Friday morning workouts, as well as Sunday afternoon gym and Tuesday morning gym workouts. Doing pretty well for the last week or two on lo-carb diet- during the week. Need to focus on not binging during the weekend and undoing all my hard work. New goal- 185lbs by March 17th!!

Update: mid-January 2012- Gah. Got bronchitis and missed New Year's so two weeks later I am starting the new year with a new me. Re-invigorated, re-motivated. Mostly ST, less crazy cardio, primal diet. Down 22 lbs, 55 lbs left to go. New goal: Monday, Feb 6th (21 days) = 35% weight loss (184lbs- down 28lbs- 49lbs to go- weight I got married). Lotta pressure, big milestones, but I can do it.

Update: December 2011- Ok, this is getting repetitive... still working. Years to put on, years to take off... blah, blah. As of November, down a total of 23.0 lbs, 54 lbs left to go. Honestly, I sat on my butt most of November. Pleased I didn't GAIN, but feel like a wasted a whole month. :( Time to get serious! December to Remember, baby!! New goal: 180 by X-mas. Svelte x-mas photos by the tree, here I come!

Update: November 2011- Still trying to work the butt off ;). Down a total of 22.4 lbs, 55 lbs left to go. New goal: 180 by Thanksgiving

Update: August 2011- Despite working my butt off, I have not, YET, worked my butt off. Yup, still there. Down a total of 15 lbs, 62 lbs left to go. New goal: under 195 lbs by Halloween

Update: May 2011- Have only lost 10 lbs, but hey, it's 10 lbs. Am re-dedicating myself to losing the remaining 67lbs with low-carb dieting and upping my fitness minutes! New goal: 8/31/11 at my wedding weight- 185lbs.

* Do Some Exercise EVERY day


My Program:
* Tracking calories consumed- focus on low-carb/primal/paleo
* Walk 4xs week, with three 15 min/mile walks and1 5K walk. Alternate with 3xs a week of ST.
* Schedule and do 15 min of walking on work break.

*Keep your eye on the prize- Do or Do Not. There is no Try.
