Hi there! Well I'm 27years old and have been semi-over weight for most of my short adult life. I just kind of made a decision to take control and do something about it. I've tried many diet plans before and none of them have worked. I also just had a baby a month ago and I really need to start getting more healthy. I'm tired of not feeling comfortable in my own skin!!

My Goals:
Well I just want to get healthier and get fit. I have been wanting to lose this weight for a long time and just haven't been able to accomplish it. I'm hoping that this year will be the year I do it

My Program:
Right now I am doing a 1200 to 1500 calorie diet that is low in fat. I walk/jog for about 30-40mins every other day. Then on the off day I do floor exercises and lift weights. I'm just trying to stay motivated!

Personal Information:
Well, I'm from Indiana born and raised. I was lucky enough to get out and lived in Va and Sc for a little while but eneded up back here. I just gave birth to my first child. A healthy baby boy! My boyfriend and I have been together for about a year and half and we couldn't be happier w/each other.

Other Information:
I am a music fanatic! I love listening to everything from R & B to Alternative to Pop to Country and pretty much anything in between.
I like Xbox 360 and computer games every now and then. I also love to go out and dance w/my friends every chance I get :-)

I know how you feel. The last couple of days have been really difficult for me to stay motivated to eat right and exercise. Hopefully the gym package will help you to jump start your progress again. I just posted a blog about my inability to stay motivated if you're interested. Maybe you should also set yourself some rewards outside of just the benefit of being in better shape. The gym membership could be your initial reward. Then set yourself smaller goals outside of your ultimate weight loss goal (i.e. 5 or 10 pounds/inches down) and treat yourself to something special once you get there. I would try to avoid using food as that something special because that could be a very slippery slope (not too mention take you backwards on your progress). Maybe a night out just for you, or a massage, or a new outfit to show off those slimmer curves lol! I'll be praying for ya and sending you good motivating vibes!

Hey a 10 minute work out is definately better than none at all. And we all have to start somewhere!! I know it may seem like a bit but what I recommend to all parents is a membership to the YMCA. I have 4 kids and pay for a family membership. The great part about it is the pretty flexible hours and best of all the 2 FREE hours of child care EVERYDAY!! The swimming is definately a bonus too.

As for your little man, I am sorry things were so rough. I am glad he is feeling better, though. Today was pretty rough for me and for the next few days it seems like it is only going to get rougher. I think I have talked more over the net the last few days than in person. The few minutes I had to spend talking with Peggy this morning was pretty rough in itself. Hoping that gets better in the next few days though!! I'll be back at it in no time though and see you all soon! Good luck to you and your work out. I know you can do it!! emoticon

Hey lady... Things getting any easier with the day shift transition? How did everything go with little man? Is he feeling better now? How are you doing on the work out? I know that it can be a struggle with a little one. Trying to find the time to juggle the little one and all of your other responsibilities makes it difficult to find time sometimes, but this is something you are doing for yourself. It's not selfish, it's you keeping yourself in the best possible health so you can do more stuff with him when he gets older. That's a lesson I had to learn!! Sending you some good vibes!!
