I could write a story like a hundred other people, as we all know the routine - heavy all my life; tried every diet out there; etc., etc. We've ALL been there, done that. Diet isn't the answer. Eating healthy certainly is! Why does it take some of us years and years to understand what's really good for us?

I am struggling and losing slower this time but I know I have to stick with it. I need to continue to go forward and not look back again. That's one of my biggest problems - looking at the past - which is something I need to stop doing. Looking forward.......

My Program:
I try to eat NO sugar and NO white flour and NO processed foods.

Get up and get moving - which is extremely hard for me. My feet hurt, as does my back, but I've found the more I DON'T sit down, the better off I feel.



Personal Information:
California girl, transplanted and blooming in Mississippi, just beginning to love myself & life! Spent 39 years in abusive relationships and never knew what it was like to live life to the fullest. It's been hard starting from square one again at my age but with God, anything is possible! Thank you Lord for ALL your help!!!

    I have been taking a spark break, and now just trying to catch up with all my messages and sparkfriends.

    I hope you are doing well. You mentioned way back in May (is that how long it's been since I responded to comments on my page???!?? Wow!)... Anyway, you mentioned back then that you were trying to get your life in some sort of order. I hope that you managed to do so!

    Hope the weekend holds great things for you!
    I just saw your introduction on the California Natives page. Have to admit, I'm a terrible team leader, as I felt the need to take a "spark break" a few months ago, and haven't been spending as much time online Nevertheless, I"m glad you found us, Sparkpeople, and your path to success. There are tons of people on this site who have lost 100+ pounds. My favorite such spark friend is Dana (Zircadia). She has an awesome turkey burger recipe on the sparkpeople recipes database (Dana's turkey burgers)
