I'm 44 yrs OLD and want to be 44 years YOUNG... I'm really ready to lose this weight. I have been large most of my life... but for about 5 glorious years in my early 20's. I had a taste of being healthy and lost it since then.

I was very immobile when I started the 17 Day Diet on March 19, 2012. It was hard to put my right shoe on, no flexibility (still is hard, but it is getting just a bit easier)... and haven't worn women's shoes in years! I have a bad back and was just in ...

I was very immobile when I started the 17 Day Diet on March 19, 2012. It was hard to put my right shoe on, no flexibility (still is hard, but it is getting just a bit easier)... and haven't worn women's shoes in years! I have a bad back and was just in really bad shape. I want to be alive! I want to live long with my amazing husband who is my best friend. I want to see and play with my future grandchildren and be someone my son can be proud of!

After eight months, I've lost 151 lbs... I finished a 5K... I exercise 5-6 nights a week doing the Leslie Sansone Walking Tapes and a weekly walk outdoors. I have way more energy and people at work are amazed at how my entire shape has changed!

I'm the most motivated I've ever been to take this all the way to goal weight of around 170. I'll get there...

HI! I read your blog and am very motivated by your results.

Have you stayed on the 17DD the whole time to lose 151 lbs.? The reason I'm asking is that I lost 20 lbs. on it the early part of 2012 and then fell off the wagon last fall and gained it all back (plus 7 lbs.) and I could use a pep talk to get me back on it. I remember that I felt my very best when I was following cycle 1.

Congratulations on your success! Mary

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"

TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie
