I'm 47 yrs OLD and want to be 47 years YOUNG... I'm really ready to lose this weight. I have been large most of my life... but for about 5 glorious years in my early 20's. I had a taste of being healthy and lost it since then.

I was very immobile when I started the 17 Day Diet on March 19, 2012. It was hard to put my right shoe on... and haven't worn women's shoes in years! I have a bad back and was just in really bad shape. I want to be alive! I want to live long with my amazing husband who is my best friend. I want to see and play with my future grandchildren and be someone my son can be proud of!

After eight months, I've lost 151 lbs... I finished a 5K... I exercised 5-6 nights a week doing the Leslie Sansone Walking Tapes and a weekly walk outdoors. I have way more energy and people at work are amazed at how my entire shape has changed!

Today, I've gained back about 60 lbs and I have lost some focus. I'm ready to get back to a healthy life and am going to switch to a plant-based diet at the first of 2016.

I'm the most motivated I've ever been to take this all the way to goal weight of around 170. I'll get there...

    Today I'm down 19 lbs and am starting Day 17 and so far, so good. The juices don't bother me at all. With the downsizing going on (need to update my blog for all of you) and all that is going on in my life (yes, I'll try to update that blog TODAY! LOL) it seems that it's so much easier to focus on juicing than cooking and planning meals. So, I see my goal approaching, which is thrilling to me. Maybe it's the mindset, the timeframe, maybe it's just the right TIME for me, but it's working. Thank you!

    I saw on your feed that you are on day 13 or something of juicing! Go you!

    I tried it back in January but just couldn't do it. Think I managed 1 day but didn't finish my juices for the day. I would rather not eat than drink the juice. DH and DD did well and actually like the juices. We followed a reboot with Joe book.

    Hello! I'm glad to meet you. My goal weight is the same as yours. I weigh more than you right now though. I juiced for 5 days in January, 14 days in February, and am on day 3 today. I've lost 38 lbs this year so far. I really believe juicing is the quickest, healthiest way to lose weight. Have you ever been to It's where I spend most of my online time. I feel very understood on that site with my juicing methods. I'd love to hear about your progress. Juice on! emoticon
