Helping My Body Fight Fibromyalgia!!!

My name is Cindy and I turn 32 this month (January). I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Finally! An answer to what was causing the annoying symptoms all these years, and to what was causing the sheer hell of my first chronic pain flare up 18 months ago. I am here to lose weight in order to help my body fight this illness. I am married to the love of my life, Dennis and we have 3 beautiful children. I want to be able to go out with my husband without having to worry about how much pain ...
I want to be able to go out with my husband without having to worry about how much pain the car ride will cause. I wast to play with my kids without having to worry if playing will cause a flare the next day. Losing weight can't give that to me. Only a cure for FM can and right now there isn't one. SO I am taking control of what I CAN control. If there are any other Chronic Illness Fighters out there send me a message. You can never have too much support, right?

My Goals:
I am taking this slow. So my first goal is to lose 50 lbs this year. More would be nice but I have to pace myself. I would love to jump in and go wild with it but I waited too long. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!!!!!

My Program:
I made my fast break goals super easy. Eat fresh produce once a day, do 10 minutes of gentle stretching, and write in a journal eeryday. Most days my journalling will be in my blog so take a peek if you want to.

Personal Information:
I love my kids. I am still in love with my husband after 12 years of marrige. I'm trying to be strong for them, to show them that I am willing to do what it takes to get through this illness in one piece!

Other Information:
"The whole outlook of mankind might be changed if we could all believe that we dwell under a friendly sky and that the God of heaven, though exalted in power and majesty, is eager to be friends with us."

If in our daily life we can smile,
if we can be peaceful and happy,
not only we, but everyone will profit from it.
This is the most basic kind of peace work.
- Thich Nhat Hanh

It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts. - K.T. Jong

The bow cannot be always bent without fear of breaking. Repose is as needful to the mind as sleep to the body... Rest time is not waste time. It is economy to gather fresh strength.....Charles Spurgeon

May you find some rest and reflection time this weekend! emoticon
