I'm married with two children. A daughter who is a high school junior and who is starting to plan her college career and a son who is in 9th grade. Our son was diagnosed with autism at age 3 (now 15 yrs old). I've never been a "health freak" or very athletic. But I've put on 40-50 lbs since the kids were born (about 70 since I was married 20 yrs ago) I've lost almost 20 lbs in just over a year without much effort other than stopping the breakfast trip to McD's 2-3 times a week on my way to ...
I'm married with two children. A daughter who is a high school junior and who is starting to plan her college career and a son who is in 9th grade. Our son was diagnosed with autism at age 3 (now 15 yrs old). I've never been a "health freak" or very athletic. But I've put on 40-50 lbs since the kids were born (about 70 since I was married 20 yrs ago) I've lost almost 20 lbs in just over a year without much effort other than stopping the breakfast trip to McD's 2-3 times a week on my way to work (I lost my job about 14 months ago, so I'm not heading out in the mornings like I used to), and not drinking my usual diet wild cherry pepsi... found that I have finally built up an "allergy" to aspertame! I need to get my weight under control.

My goal is to lose about 15-20 lbs by my birthday at the end of May. Then another 30-35 lbs or so over the summer so I am at my 'wedding weight' for my 21st anniversary...

At the same time, I want to learn, along with my daughter, how to eat and cook healthier. Not perfect... but healthier. She already eats better than I do. I also want to get into the habit of moving my body. Either going for walks (if we ever lose all this snow) or doing Leslie Sansone's indoor walking programs.
