Starting over again...

Going on 51 and everything I have is falling down, falling out, or falling apart! It's really been a rude awakening for me. You know how when your young, you never believe you'll ever get old? Well, it happens and it's happening to me now!
I've always been active, athletic, and a pessimist. Now I'm lethargic, out of shape, and have become an optimist! I've got one out of three going the right direction now I need to continue working on the other two!
I am determined to make ...

I am determined to make this "second" part of my life better than the first and live it to the fullest. All I need is a little motivation and a good swift kick in the rear!
Anyone who feels like a kick from them would help, bring it on! You can't miss my rear! Unfortunatley, while it's bigger than it used to be, it's still flat!

My Goals:
I want to walk/run a half marathon in the Spring and late Fall.

Do weight lifting at least twice a week!

Continue to drive my husband crazy!!!

My Program:
Start "Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred" 3 days a week.
Walk/Run 4 miles 5 days a week.
Bo-Flex work-out 3 days a week.
Long hike with dogs and family once a week.
Start keeping a food diary!

Personal Information:
I'm a Indiana girl! The summers are hot and the winters are freezing. I still like the change. I'm happily married and have two daughters. One is 26 and the other is 10, (when I turned 40 I decided that I wanted a another baby!). We have two chocolate labs. They're both nuts! I work full-time, have an english degree and dabble in stained glass

Other Information:
I'm a stained glass artist and have a studio in my basement.

I'm writing the next Great American novel!

And most of all, I'm too stubborn for my own good!

Saw your comment about PF, I too have been dealing with this since I had major back surgery in 2001. The surgery changed my gait and that's how it began for me and it still bothers me from time to time.

I took up running last Fall at 53 yrs old and ran two 5K's, I plan on running many more this year. Believe in yourself and remind yourself of your goals and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
