Cinderella Man

This is my journey to lose nearly 200 pounds. At my peak I was almost 400 lbs. And I'm 5'7"! This will be a life-changing goal/accomplishment and I look forward to it.
In the past decade and a half, I've had 2 periods of success in weight-loss: during one I lost 20 lbs and the other I lost 40 lbs. As much as I could blame being obese on life circumstances and some other things, I instead am taking responsibility now for my health and self. I may have failed in the past, but I'm learning ...

Rather than daydream and fantasize about how great it would be to be in the physical shape I want to be, I'm taking action to make it happen.
I want to be like one of those people in the countless diet fad and supplement ads where it says they lost some large amount of weight and then in the fine print says *results not typical.
I'll be the exception to the rule!

My Goals:
I will reach a maintenance/life weight of 160-170 lbs.
I will be able to do the physical activities I want to do in life including snowboarding and other sports and outdoor adventures.
I will be able to do simple daily-life activities such as climbing stairs and fitting comfortably in public seats.
I will reach a level of self-esteem and self-confidence that I have never seen before in my life!

My Program:
Focusing on my eating habits and changing them for success. Exercise is no trouble for me, but diet is my weak link.
-Cut soda out of my diet
-Spark daily
-Drink a good amount of water each day
-Prepare/cook most of my meals (instead of going out to eat)
-Eventually allow a weekly "cheat" day
-Eventually do walking daily

Personal Information:
Oregon - the Pacific Northwest (one of the best places on Earth!)


Other Information:
When all's said and done, what's DONE is more important than what is said.
