I just started my journey in September 2011 and things are going well. I have changed what I eat and how I live and it seems to be working! I losing weight and feeling better. When I look at myself in mirror I see a change. Neat-O!

My Goals:
My goal in nothing short of being completely happy and healthy. I well on my why to doing just that!

My Program:
I am cooking everything eat. Nothing processed anymore. Lots raw and whole foods. I do hard core cardio 4 days per week and 3 days of weight training with a short cardio tacked on at the end.

Personal Information:
I'm a 44 YO guy who love to read, be outside, make art and have fun with good friends.

I love to meet new people and hope to just that here on SPARK! :)


Other Information:
I love all kinds of books. Fiction and Nonfiction.

Hi, welcome to Sparkpeople. I try to send this message to help folks with the website because I found it a bit difficult in the beginning. I am not anyone special, just someone trying to gain control of my health, just like you. I hope you enjoy this website as much as I do. I have gotten so much out of it. I have met some wonderful folks on this website.
The website can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but don't give up.(All the advertising can feel distracting, but it keeps the website free for all of us. Just ignore it if you want.) Explore a little at a time.
Scroll through other member pages, if you see anyone you would like to have as a spark friend, just click the little button at the top and that will add them to your friend list.
If you are confused, ask questions on the Messages Boards, under the Get Help section.
Under the Message Boards tab, check out Sparkpeople Café and the Sparkpeople Game Room. There are a lot of fun running posts on these message boards.
Check your Sparkpoint page and see where you can earn more points. ( I really have fun with this.) It’s fun to use the points to buy and give the ‘goodies’ to yourself or to other sparkpeople.
Be kind to yourself. Take it one day at a time. Expect set backs and just ride them out. Don't compare yourself to others, you are unique and an individual.
Don’t ever give up, instead, reach out. That is what we are all here for.
It gets better, one day at a time.
I think of daily food control like the pages of a book. One page (day) is not very thick, hardly seems worth the effort, but when you close the book the thickness of all the pages (days) together really have an impact. It is up to you to decide if the story is a good one.
You are going to fly. Just spread those wings and set sail!
