Hi, and welcome to my Sparkpage! I am 20 years old, Canadian, and I am in my third year in university.

I follow a plant-based diet, mostly inspired by Dr. Fuhrman's book "Eat to Live." I have never eaten this many fruits and vegetables (at least 90% of my daily diet) in my life and I can't believe how much better I feel. WHY DON'T MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS? I have more energy, clearer skin, and yes I'm losing weight too. Best part is, I never feel hungry. I love the volume ...

I have never eaten this many fruits and vegetables (at least 90% of my daily diet) in my life and I can't believe how much better I feel. WHY DON'T MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS? I have more energy, clearer skin, and yes I'm losing weight too. Best part is, I never feel hungry. I love the volume of food you can eat on a plant-based diet. I used to avidly track my food and count calories until I just decided that I couldn't do that every day for the rest of my life. I find Dr. Fuhrman's plan a lot more practical for my lifestyle, even being a student. Eat veggies at every meal, cut out refined sugar/meat/alcohol, and make sure make sure no more than 10% of my calories come from low nutrient foods.

My Goals:

My Program:
1) Eating the nutrient-dense way - Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live" life plan.

2) To drink water instead of calories.

3) Cardio for 30 minutes at least five days a week.

I never mind a new friend!
I'm not a vegetarian but I am addicted to a couple vegan foodie blogs and find myself avoiding meat through the week.
I get most of my protein from beans, hummus, edamame, eggs, tofu/tempah, vegetable protein powder, and quinoa (and sometimes nuts/peanut butter). Do you have any other suggestions for protien sources?
