Yes I wish I was a neighbor to you too, although around here there is an old joke about locking your car doors to avoid neighbors putting extra zucchini in it!
Your spelling was quite good for lidacaine, hope he used lots as you will be sore!
Waiting for the time to pass to hear is hard isn't it? I am rooting for you. Thanks for the spices, I love trying out new stuff. Swiss chard is a leafy green and I usually pick it, wash it several times and steam/boil a big pot of it. A little salt and pepper and either margarine or vinegar sprinkled over it. A family favorite. We also love beet greens the same way or whole small beets and greens done like this. Right now I can not keep up eating all the vegetables! Green beans and yellow beans, peas, new potatoes, onions, lettuce, green swiss chard and the really pretty colored chard (yellow, red. purple). The carrots are needing to be thinned and we are eating them small and raw or lightly cooked. I love vegetables from the garden! New potatoes, beans, peas, carrots and tiny onions boiled till almost tender and then a white sauce with butter to finish them off. My kids go crazy for that! It is their favorite garden meal and something you can not duplicate unless you live where there is a great farmer`s market. We have eaten two long cucumbers from the greenhouse i have and soon kohlrabi and zucchini and regular cukes will be ready. This year I grew kale and now have to figure out how to enjoy it! Happy eating, in this season I always lose weight I think because the vegetables and raspberries and strawberries are so great. emoticon emoticon

I love the dancing lessons! How did you guess that my granddaughters and I were doing crazy, zany line dancing yesterday and boy could we use lessons! It was such fun.

Thanks for stopping by my page and leaving a note, I just love having a visit, it is a great surprise. The news from the physical was not great. I am reading a really interesting book on my Kobo "Leslie Beck's Longevity Diet" pretty interesting, she gives the top healthy foods (25) to eat and list the worst as well. It is all based on scientific studies. The hardest thing to grasp is that we can really live longer and healthier if we practice Calorie Restriction. That sounded so horrible but after reading it I think it made sense and did not seem so hard. Basically everything we eat should pack a nutritious wallop. The other thing was that we already eat many of the really good stuff anyway.
Thinking of you and the new babies coming to your family, you are so blessed!
This coming week our grand daughters are here for a week and will take swimming lessons. Tomorrow they arrive and we will have a birthday party for both Dawn and her husband Jason.
