hey there! we are quite similar in weight loss goals. i am only 5'3" and am trying to get down to about 120 or so (perhaps a little more depending on how i feel). it's tough, though! i hope your journey is going well!
I read your intro on your spark page, Good for you for realizing that the opinions of others don't matter in the least. I am 150 lbs, 5'4" (5 lbs more than last year...darn it!), and I want to lose 20 lbs by the summer. I hate it when some of my girlfriends say I don't need to lose weight and I shouldn't worry about it. Are they blind? I know they mean well, but it's dismissive. I also want to be healthy and I don't know why other people respond that way.
I went back to the gym today and I feel great (and quite chuffed about myself!) It's great to share this with others in the same boat. Thanks!
