Failure is not an option

I am getting fit for Jesus and to help other women to overcome the challenges that they are facing with weight loss. I am a 3 time breast cancer survivor and I know the struggles one may face after chemo, a complete hystercotomy and weight gain. My body is the temple of God and I must keep it fit.

Heart rate zones:
There are 3 zones that I follow for my body.
Zone 1 - 50-60% (Light), Zone 2 - 60-70% (Easy), Zone 3 - 70-80% (aerobic)

220 - your age x 60% = lowest zone
Ex. 220 - 42 =178 x 60 = 107 - 140 is my heart rate zone (Must follow Doctor orders)

August 2009 Goals
1. Daily Prayer
2. Read at least 1 scripture per day
3. Lose 8lbs - which is 2lbs per week. Target weight 152
4. Eat healthy...5-6 small meals
5. Plan & Prepare meals for the week
6. Exercise 6 days a week
- Cardio 30 - 60 Min (Slim in 6)
- Treadmill or Ellipital 15 min
- Strength train 3x a week (Mon, Wed, & Fri)
- Abs - Daily
7. Journal all food intake & fitness workout
8. Drink 8 or more glasses of water per day.

1 Cup lettuce

1 Serving of Fruit =
1 medium apple
15 large grapes
1/2 banana

1 Serving of Dairy =
1 Cup of Soy Light Milk or Fat Free or Low fat
3 Cheese cubes
1/2 cup Low Fat Cottage Cheese
6oz Yogurt

1 Serving of Meat =
1/4 (3oz) Chicken Breast (skinless), Turkey, Fish
1/2 cup beans
1/4 Nuts
1oz Deli meat

1 Serving of Good Fat =
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp Butter (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter)
1 tbsp Mayonnaise

Nutrition:
1- Write down every thing I eat to count my calorie intake. Also to within my 1200 - 1500 range.
2- Eat 5-6 small meals per day.
3- Drink 8 glass of water
4- Plan my meals for the week.

Fitness:
1- Cardio - 5 times a week for 1 hour a day.
2- Strength train 3 times a week.

My wish for you is that you will receive just what you are striving for! This road to weight loss, fitness, good health and adopting a permanent lifestyle change can be a daunting task!
