A new addiction

My tat represents a catepillar turning into a butterfly because of the beautiful change in my life.

My first tat in '08. I am nothing without these words.

Hello! Welcome to my SparkPeople Page.

My name is Stevi, short for stephanie.

The women here are wonderful and ever so helpful with motivating and inspiring for weight loss success.

I have been overweight since I was about 10 years old. I know I should have done this a long time ago.
I just procrastinated. I hated the word "diet", I still do.

I want to participate in fun activities that I cannot quite do so well right now. I just need guidance and support. And a meal plan with ingredients that I can actually find in a local supermarket.

For now, I eat what I want, just in smaller portions, and I exercise when I am physically able.

At this time, I dont have any known health issues and I want to take care of myself before I am forced to do so.

What I lack is motivation, I can give it so well to others. I just cannot seem to motivate myself. I am very positive that I can accomplish my goal with the guidance of my sisters here in SP.

I welcome all of your suggestions, comments and ideas.

Any buddies in the New Braunfels/San Antonio Texas area? Please send me an email or comment on my page.

I plan on walking for 30 minutes for 3 x's a week at my local gym. I need to start somewhere and that is Planet Fitness, I just love it there. This gym does NOT allow body builder's in there nor do they allow for members to "grunt" while they are lifting weights.

If they hear you grunting, a loud buzzer goes off in the gym. And then you get the stares from everyone. It's great there, I see all walks of life of different shapes and sizes. Finally, a gym for the rest of us to feel comfortable in when we are working out.

Even if you look like Jabba, the hut from Star Wars, you still are comfortable in your own skin. Would you DARE stare at Jabba? I wouldnt!

My Goals:
My goals are to lose weight slowly, healthy, and safely.

To drink more water at least the 8 glasses a day routine.

To be able to eat the same food I like, but in moderation. And to stop when I am full.

I would like exercises to strengthen my back. I have a herniated disc.(L5)

My Program:
At present I am limited
( I think) to exercising. I have a sprained shoulder, tennis elbow, and recovering from a hairline fracture in my wrist. This is my dominate right arm.

Suggestions?

Personal Information:
I feel my weight was put on when I was 11. I had some traumatic incidents happen while growing up. So, I ate alot and tried to look unattractive. At the time I thought it was a good idea, but now I am paying for it.

Other Information:
I love reading motivational books such as, Louise L. Hay.
Her books are so colorfully illustrated.

They are very inspiring to me.

Anything that has to do with "The Secret".
