Quit smoking and not gain a lot of weight during that process. To lose weight in a healthy way that I can stick to in the present and future. Be a healthier, non-smoking, happier me!
I don't really have a program. I try to watch portion sizes, eat fresh vegetables and fruits, drink at least 64 ounces of water a day, and try to get 30 minutes of some sort of fitness activity a day.
40+ (closer to 50 now) Mom of two, Grandma (Hamma) of one. Have been married for over 23 years. We have one very spoiled pitbull dog (no he isn't mean!) who thinks he is a 4 year old child. Have worked for the company I'm with for over 17 years. Live in small town Iowa, so small there isn't even a bar but we do have 3 churches.
Just so you know... you CAN do it. I've never been a morning exerciser. There is nothing more difficult for me than getting up early in the morning to go sweat in a gym. The last time I lost weight with sparkpeople, I was single and I went in the evenings.
Not so anymore! Since I've found myself in a happy relationship, I want to spend time with my boyfriend after work... so to make that happen, I have to get up extra early (my alarm goes of a 4:45am) to go.... but I know the results and the choice will be worth it.
