I need motivation & determination

I love my kids and i want to be healthy for them, I recently stopped smoking July 17 2011. I can breathe better and i love hearing the kids "mommy you smell beautiful" One accomplishment down, another to go,now i have to get to a healthy weight so i can enjoy my children even longer. -=]

Hi there! I just stopped by your page to see how you were doing and I saw that you had some questions. Great job logging your food in by the way...I have to get better at doing mine. emoticon

To get friends for motivation you need to click on "add as a Spark friend" in the upper right hand corner of there Spark page. They then know that you are hoping to be buddies with them...then they will see that you did that via email and check out your page and hopefully check the same box on your page. After that, you will see on your activity feed different things that they are doing and be able to comment on them and they will see your current status and comment too sometimes...motivating and encouraging you. Your Spark friends will often read your blogs as well and make comments and you can see when they blog too. It is one way to find out what others are going through and support each other. Blogging is another way to have people add you as a friend because your blog titles will show up on your teams pages for a while and team members may read them and add you as a friend. Some people enjoy having many many friends some people only a few...it depends on the type of person you are. Try to pick people you think you will like or who motivate you...some people will pick you. You don't have to respond to each invitation with a friend add...only if you feel like you want to get to know that person a bit more.

As far as challenges...I have only done a few but I think that you just join a team and jump right in. For instance I just joined a 100 Day Challenge team as a challenge to myself to exercise at least 30 minutes everyday for 100 days. Some people on my team are up to like 400 days! I am the newest at 11 days. This is another way to get motivated and meet people.

As far as finding what is right for you...I think it just takes time. Try different things...read peoples blogs...join teams and participate. Sometimes you will find that you don't relate to a certain team that you joined..quit and move on to one that motivates you or that you just like.

Good Morning, I am trying to look at everything on this site, somethings i see i want to join and when i go to join i get distracted by other things and lose where i was. This site is awesome though. Its like where do i begin. I did log all of my food yesterday, and i did not leave anything out.So that was a huge step for me.

I have been reading everything everyone has sent to me and i am motivated just a little bit i just hope i can understand this site better. How do i find motivation buddies?

How do i join a challenge? Or how do i find whats right for me?
