My Goals:
I have a few goals...the first being to learn how to incorporate eating healthy into my home and work life. I often feel overwhelmed with the rush of the day and I will push my needs aside for convenience sake. I do this especially with lunch and dinner preparation, I tend to reach for what's easy and quick.

Secondly, I want to lose the weight I have put on over the last 8 years. I have bounced around the low-to-mid 180's for far too long. My weight loss mini goals are to reach 160lbs, then 150lbs and eventually 125lbs.

Lastly, I would like to tone up my body. I just want to tighten the sag where it can be tightened and get rid of all of this excess fat I am carrying around my mid-section.


My Program:
My program is basically this...I will limit my fast food intake and cut out sodas. I hope to reduce my caloric/fat/bad carb intake by 50% to put me at 1,000/day. 95% of the food I eat will be prepared from raw by me. I will eat protein, vegetables and fruit with every meal and use fruit as my snack in between.

I will drink WATER WATER WATER and more WATER daily. (I use this as my guide to make sure I am taking in enough but, not too much. I drink half of my body weight in ounces. So, for example, if I weighed 150 lbs, I would drink 75 ounces of water a day!)



Personal Information:
Originally from the beautiful bayou state of Louisiana, I transplanted myself in the soulful city of Memphis, TN about 12 years ago. I love it here...the music, the culture, the food (which contributed to my weight gain, along with a corporate job where I sit on my butt all day).
