Christina's Healthy Life

After my daughter was born in 2008, I unsuccessfully tried to lose the 20+ pounds that I gained during the pregnancy. My failure to lose weight caused me to just give up, but after quickly gaining another 10 pounds, I realized that I can't give up. In 2010, my friend introduced me to SparkPeople and I lost 52 pounds. And then I stopped using SparkPeople. And then I gained 52 pounds. And then I gained another 10 pounds after that. And now I'm back.

I enjoy scrapbooking and card making, but I don't do it nearly as much as I'd like to. Hopefully, I can make a family tree scrapbook one day.

As for how heavy a kettlebell you should use, I was using 10 lb hand weights before I bought a kettlebell, so I doubled the weight for my first purchase and it worked for me. They sell them at Walmart, Target and Dicks Sporting goods though, so you can go in and lift a few to see what weight you should use if you're interested. Remember a lot of the exercises are two-handed, so you can use something heavier.
