My Goals:
I would like to lose 70 lbs .I would like to lower my blood pressure & get more energy.

My Program:
I am trying to watch what I eat & how much. I also try to get at least 30 minutes a day of exercise. .

Personal Information:
I am 54. I am happily married,have 4 children & 3 stepchildren. .I have 7 grandchildren. I enjoy gardening,quilting,sewing,reading,cooking & traveling.

I saw that you are on a low carb diet and are trying to lose weight. I read where low carb diets have a problem in that the body adjusts to low carb diets by trying to store energy as fat, and that you can have a larger weight loss by cycling your carb/calorie input so your body doesn't try to store energy as fat.

Also, you can time your carb intake on carb up days in accordance with your active life (early morning, 3hrs before or 1-3 hrs after exercise) to further avoid storing carbs as fat. So let every other day be a under 50 carb day and eat more carbs on the alternate days to keep your body from going into starvation mode.

The plan I am following actually has about every 7 day be a free day where you have an even higher carb intake to reset your body metabolism, but that might not be advisable for one in your situation.

*Get in an extra 10 minutes of dancing emoticon

*Believe that you are worth it emoticon

You are not alone on this journey. We do not stand in front or behind but beside each other. You can do this. Don't get down if you make a mistake but get back up and do it again and again until you get it right. It will happen. Maybe not today or even tomorrow but you will do it if you believe in yourself. Find that strength deep inside and bring it out. Don't jump into a decision to quit and then regret it. Even a small victory is a step ahead. I believe in you and now it is time for all of us to believe in ourselves. Let's make this the month we really FLY!

I read on a general question about eating is it emotional or what that you think of eating right after you have already eaten. You might want to journal your food intake and emotions down and see if you are getting enough foods and the right kinds too. Also, in stead of eating again try and brush your teeth with a minty toothpaste. That really works for me and makes the dentist happy too!! Good Luck! Pat

I wanted to welcome you to walking quilters and wanted to tell you about another quilting group. It is called Charmed Swappers-We Quilt. Its a great team with a wonderful group of ladies. We do charm swaps from time to time and you might enjoy it. It is alot of fun.
