I wish I had some sort of *secret*, but really it was all due to counting calories and exercising 3 hours a week. The bulk of my weight loss (I've lost about 50 lbs since having my last daughter) was during an online Biggest Loser competition. If you're competitive at all, that could be a big motivator. I haven't looked at all of the challenges on Spark People, but there might be something like that.
If you like workout videos I highly recommend Denise Austin's Personal Training DVD. You select which exercises and level you want to do in the menu and it plays everything you selected back-to-back. I did an hour of that 3 times a week and it really changed my shape. I've never had results like that before. It was amazing!
Alright, off to do my 30 minutes of cardio and some Spark People videos for the January Exercise Challenge.

Thanks for checking in. I read your blog a few days ago, but it's been crazy for me. My daughter started kindergarten 2 weeks ago and this past week my job as an academic advisor at a college has kept me busy working with students who start classes Monday. ANYWAY! Um.....you think you were being given a sign??? CRAZY! And as for your friend, I think her saying, "thats what I've said forever," or whatever it was...that would be motivation for me!!!!
