March 2009 : I've experienced ups and downs lately, my lowest weight known is 148lbs (June 2008) & I'll get back there soon!
I contracted an eating disorder in 2007, & still suffer from it. I tend to over-eat, & I'm subject to binge-eating. It's the first time I admit it actually!
So now I not only want to lose weight, I want to get rid of this awful habit and be healthy. Having several goals at a time is not easy, but well, step by step we get where we want!
I've always believed that with a positive mind comes great achievements.
Step by step, day by day, I'll get there eventually, with the help of Spark People & Spark Members!
I want to change this for good ^^

My story :
I'm far from being extraordinary.
I started to be overweight around elementary school, when I started to eat like my parents, who were giving me healthy foods but in quantities that were too big for a 7 year-old... I became used to eating a lot, and gained gradually.
Around the age of 13, my mother and I went to see a nutritionist, but I lost no more than 4lbs in 3 months (I was already eating healthy, the nutritionist didn't understand that!).
After that, I decided I wouldn't care anymore. Eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted was my diet. I thought I would get used to buy clothes online only, hiding myself & stuff.
But one day, I stepped on the scale... 197. Hard.
I decided to start dieting, along with my mother & sister, in August 2007. I lost a lot thanks to a special eating program. I'm really proud of having lost almost 50lbs so far.
But... I became too extreme. I have to say this wasn't really healthy. Between 700 & 900 a day, weighing-in everyday, cutting calories if I hadn't lost enough weight... A real nightmare for my mood. My friends thought that I'd become anorexic if I went on. So I decided this couldn't last.
Lucky me, when i started eating more, I didn't gain much.
I'm now at a plateau (between 148 & 150) & I hope SP will help me getting long-lasting eating habits.
My aim is to get to 140 first, then reaching my ideal weight, around 130.
