Chocolate and life

I'm a chocolotier - a dangerous profession to be in when you are seriously overweight. Oddly, i don't really like to cook my meals and would much rather grab some fast food or go out. Which is, of course totally bad.

I have a habbit of dieting (or eating healthy, would be better) 1 year, losing about 30-40 lbs, then taking a year off. I went from about 250 to 225, then took a year off and added only 5 lbs (still tried to eat healhy, just less restrictive) went to 195, and 1 ...

I'm hypo thyroid, and even being careful at 1200 cals a day, i tend to only lose 1/2 pound a week. But that's ok. 200 is better than 250, and 170 will be better than 200.

If i add .5 miles every other week, it should get me to 5 miles by Sept.

My first year of seriously changing my habits, I ate a lot of grab and go food. The difference was I ate only about half a plate's worth, and the other half was 2/3 veggies and 1/3 fruit. I combined bites of both so I wouldn't feel I needed dressing on the veggies. There are so many cleaned cut up veggies available now that it's not terribly hard to have them fast or bring some to work. I still do the same ratio of food, but I do cook a lot more of my own. I make enough for left overs a lot. Meals are fast!
