Saint Louis Spark People Rally-Please Come!!!

OK, so how's the MO Botanical Garden on July 17 at 9 a.m. sound? We could meet at the Visitor's Center and walk around for 2 hours-there's a 'Health Fair' going on the same day, too! If you're a resident of St. Louis County or St. Louis City, admission is FREE before noon-otherwise it's $8 for adults...the place opens at 9 a.m., so it wouldn't be quite as hot then, but we could do 10 as well...lots to do/see here & plenty of walking exercise & time to get to know fellow STL 'Sparkers'!!!

Hope to see you there-families welcome-check out the Botanical website for admission pricing

Hey! thanks for all your positive comments! :) How is your weight loss journey going? I have lost about 30 pounds, but I still have a long way to go. Working on that tummy is NOT fun. Apparently lots of cardio helps though. But its a challenge. Hope your journey is goign well!

If you visit a specialty store they can help you find sneakers that will feel better when you run. They'll have you take off your socks and shoes so they can get a look at your feet. They'll check out your gait and your arches. If you have a Fleet Feet nearby they're good.

I run/jog 3 times a week. On March 20 I went to a specialty running store, bought a pair of running shoes that are right for my feet, and I ran for the first time in almost 3 years. On that I day I did intervals of running 30 seconds & walking 30 seconds, for a total of 20 minutes.

2 days after that I started Couch to 5K. This week I'm doing intervals of running 90 seconds & walking 2 minutes for a total of 21 minutes.
