I'm a nutritional anthropologist by trade. You'd think after spending all this time studying our history of food, I'd know better than to let myself get 200 lbs.

But knowing what's *right* to eat, doesn't mean I follow through.

Why did I get here? Emotional Eater; Portion Size; love of all that is processed.

AT the same time, I have some really wonderful eating habbits, like tons of vegies (just drowned in butter or cheese), lots of variety, no sweet drinks (nor diet drinks), tons of water... so there are good things to build from. But now it's taking what I know, and translating it into "do do do"

My Goals:
Goals: Fun stuff here
100 lbs give or take, by two years. (that's a huge goal)

Increase Variety

Decrease red meat

Weight goals decreased to 10 lb increments on ticker. total loss 100 lbs, give or take.


My Program:
1) For one month, 10 minutes exercise 2x per day. Plus 2 5 minute stretching sessions

2) 10 different vegies, 5 different fruits each week, changing out 5 per week. Trying for 20-25 different vegies and 10-20 different fruits each month

I'm a nutritional Anthropologist specializing in ancient Mezo and North american pre-Columbian cultures, but with a love of the ancient middle east as well.

    Ohhhhhh.....I SO HATE the idea of "magic pills" - in fact, there are really no such things - think of the alerts all over the media about some of these "miracle" diet aids that are causing all sorts of problems with people's health......you do NOT want to go there, believe me!
