I went to a nephrologist who put me on two medications. I asked him what effect my weight had on my pressure and he said that if I would lose twenty pounds, it would come down ten points. I lost seven. In April this year I picked up a Woman First at the grocery checkout, read about Spark People, and the rest is history. I take a quarter of one medication and will be off when I finish the bottle. Spark has changed my life and my future.

The doctor told me my current blood pressure medication was causing hot flashes and night sweats so he switched me to propolanol for it. I am also getting tested for a cortisol excessive production. hope that clears things up.
