Three kids (2 C-sections...) later - it's TIME! I'm tired of being out of breath just trying to tie my shoes! I wanna get rid of this fat and be a better example of health for my kids! 7 years ago I had lost 54 pounds in 6 months, owing it all to lots of prayer, exercising and better food choices. This was the first time I'd ever lost weight and been SERIOUS about exercising. It worked and I lost more than 50 inches. But... Then I fell off the exercise wagon. Intending to do it at home rather than the gym. Life in general kept distracting me and the exercise always seemed to be the first thing put to the back burner. I'm ashamed to say that I gained it all back plus an additional 22 lbs. a few years ago. Then I started reading about how difficult it was to lose weight again after a re-gain, how you had to work exponentially harder to lose those same pounds and how it was nearly impossible over the age of 40. All of this just made me give up and say, "you know, I guess I'm just going to be fat -- it's too hard to lose." I wasn't willing to make the sacrifice it was going to take. I've tried all kinds of diet aids and pills hoping for a quick fix and none of it was working. Then in August of 2013 my Aunt told me about a diet she was having success with and urged me to give it a shot. I generally avoid diets as they restrict what I WANT to eat and are too detailed and difficult to follow. But I gave this one a try and in 3 weeks I lost almost 13 pounds. It was SOOO easy and I am beyond motivated now and can actually see myself DOING this right this time. The diet is The Overnight Diet, if you're interested, and the book is on Amazon or at your local book seller. I'd get the 'real' book as opposed to an E version - it's easier to get back and forth to charts and recipes that way. I'm never hungry, REALLY enjoying my food and even having fun meal planning and cooking again. I'm going to do it right this time, by God's grace, a lot of prayer (again) and the encouragement of my friends!

I don't believe in "restricted" foods for my weight loss plan. If I want chocolate I shall have it - but all things in moderation and you hafta do a little give and take. Give yourself a truffle and take more time to exercise or cut back on something else (like salad) for the day. :0)



Personal Information:
I'm a homeschooling momma of three manifestations of my mother's curse to "have one just like me". They are teen/pre-teen age. Life is exciting!

My sweetheart and I have been married 23 years and we're still finding out new stuff about each other all the time.

We love our community in the Hill Country of Texas - one of the prettiest places we've ever lived.


Other Information:
Eating all the cookies so they'll be gone and not tempt you any longer is a plan that will turn around and bite you in the butt eventually...
