Awww that is funny/odd/interesting about the Clarks - when I got to Ireland, I discovered I only packed my dressy clogs and moccasins and I think one pair of old tennies. Then promptly knocked myself out senseless walking all over about with the clogs, giving myself plantar fasciitis while I was there (I've had it before and then healed up with new shoes, losing weight, etc.). So when I happened upon a dealer that sold Clark's shoes, I found 2 pair I was torn between, The sturdier of the two "felt good" in the store, but nooo, as time has gone on, it feels like concrete blocks. I've got the plantar fasciitis back under control, so need to try them again. I don't think I've ever tried on a pair of Merrells. They look nice in the catalog. Will barge cement help seal the leak, do you think (like the stuff to schmear over the cork soles of Birkies and such?). Just a thought. I'll have to post a photo of me or at least my feet wearing the Clarks.- a nice mauvey-pink (just dying to have mud splattered about them). Cheers!!
