Onward and upward!

Hello!

I've been trying to lose weight for 3 years, almost four now. I have gone up and down and struggled for one reason or another. I've been through some traumatic times in recent years, and am hoping to use exercise as a way to release and move forward.

I am now focusing on regular exercise and a healthy diet, with things I enjoy in moderation, making small changes one by one in my life. It's slow, but better.

I'm looking for spark friends to help ...

My goal is to set myself up for success each and every day by making room for cooking healthy meals and exercising.

My Program:
I'm eating right and exercising.

Trying to get at least 30 minutes of cardio & strength training six days a week. See my fitness tracker for what I'm doing.

Alternating between riding my bike, running training outdoors, elliptical machine, swimming, yoga classes, and working with my virtual personal trainer on my new Xbox Kinect.

yeah I did! I've joined in the past, but fell off the wagon. I'm determined to stick with my lifestyle for the long haul. that sucks about the physical therapy... My knees are messed up from running - it isn't super serious but it's enough to warrant painkillers sometimes, so I've decided to get back into my old hobby of swimming! :) how long have you been with sparkpeople??

Hey! So I was bumming around the forums and saw you were kind of looking for a weight loss buddy? If you're interested, I'm game for trying to keep one another accountable or something. I'm at 160 pounds too! :-) Let me know... and it looks like you just ran a 5K... how'd it go???
