Just stopping by to say "Hi!" and see how you're doing. Just try not to over do things or you'll burn yourself out. Like Susiemilo says it's not really a diet but more of a lifestyle shift.

    Chantelle,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment.
I came to you blog to see how new you are, and where you're starting from, and how far you have to go, etc.
You're starting where I did this January. I weighed 245 lbs. (5' 7" tall) and I should be at 150 lbs. to be normal sized.
Spark is an awesome, and motivating environment, and it helped me stay on track with healthy eating and getting in fitness -- I've lost 50 lbs. so far (another 50 to go). The difference in the way I feel (let alone the way I look) is AMAZING!
Just the absence of gastric issues (heartburn, gas, tail wind, bloating, etc.) alone is enough to keep me in this new lifestyle for the rest of my life! I feel SO much better now.
    How did I do it?
I followed the calorie limits and fitness recommendations right here on Spark.
I drank at least 8 cups of water a day, kept my calories around 1,500 per day, and started with merely 10 minutes of moving my body around each day.
Ice Cream was not my friend, and I gave it up completely. I also gave up eating fried foods.
It makes a HUGE difference in the amount of calories you take in, and how you feel when you don't eat those things.
I don't personally drink sodas, but I know that people who give them up do much better on their plan and lose weight faster.
I'll stop by now and again to see how you're doing.
You are in the right place, and you won't find a better set of friends to help you through it anywhere else!
    And you know what?
Once you get started in this, and start seeing progress.... it's kind of fun. You don't miss those things you gave up, and you really start enjoying the new you that emerges.
Wishing you ALL the best success at this wonderful new journey you're beginning,
    Susie
